About our Gas Service:
Normally untrained laborer in NOIDA take any amount ranging from 900- 2500 when they do filling of Gas.
In about 50 % cases filling of Gas is not recommended but customers fell prey to tactics of the local guys and spent the amount. This leads to more joints in the copper tubing and reduces life of AC/Fridge.
Most of times technicians take away machine at their workshop and return it after 3-4 days. Customers are not aware of the fact that what has been repaired and how much gas is filled. We try to do all our work in front of customers.
Working Hours:
Our working hours are from 7.00 AM - 11.00 PM.
Waiting:
There may be 2-10 days waiting. For Govt employees/ working parents we try to do it on holidays/ evenings as per convenience.
About us:
We have done hundred of AC service and gas filling this season and have clients in almost all sectors of NOIDA. If you want a name of satisfied customer in your nearby you may call us.
Objective:
Our objective is to provide the Best quality AC servicing through trained and verified team. We aim to give never before experience in terms of AC Service by leaving strong impression of hard work, dedication and honesty.
Gas used in AC
The gas used is Freon, known as Dichloro Difluoromethane (A CFC [Chloro Fluoro carbon]). This is a product that is being phased out because it adds to ozone depletion and thus the Global Warming effect. It works because the freon is compressed (at the base of the fridge/air con unit), causing it to heat up, it is then run through a series of coils so it condenses as a liquid, it is run through an expansion valve where it becomes a very cold gas which is run up behind the fridge or past the fan of the air conditioning unit.
Other alternative gas used are
Refrigeration Gases R-22 ( chloro fluorocarbon )
Refrigeration Gases R-123 (Dichlorotrifluoroethane)
Refrigeration Gases R-134
Refrigeration Gases R-404
Refrigeration Gases R-407 ( CH2F2/CHF2CF3/CF3CH2F )
Refrigeration Gases R-410
Refrigeration Gases R-11 ( CH2F2/CHF2CF3/CF3CH2F )
Refrigeration Gases R-12 ( freon )
R744 (refrigerant grade CO2).
R-717 Ammonia.
It is called R-134a and is similar to R-12 without the ozone depletion of R-12:
How gas is filled in AC and Fridge
When indoor unit is connected to the outdoor unit via refrigerant tubing, the tip of tubing originally attached to the indoor unit is to be opened, which leads to the leakage of refrigerant that comes with the unit prefilled from the factory. Thus this gas cannot be used in the split air conditioner for the cooling purposes.
Gas Charging from the Outdoor Unit
The outdoor unit is also prefilled with the refrigerant or the gas from the factory. Most of the gas is filled in the condenser coil at very high pressure. Since the gas is filled at high pressure sufficiently large quantity of gas can be filled in the condenser, which is good enough to produce the desired cooling effect in the room.
Since the refrigerant is already present in the air conditioning system, we don’t have charge the extra gas, however, if the distance between the indoor and the outdoor units is large, some external gas charging may be necessary. The gas present within the outdoor unit has to be released to the whole system including the refrigerant tubing and the indoor unit. Thus in the new split unit there is no actual gas charging in real sense, it is only distributing the gas compressed in the outdoor unit to the whole air conditioning system.
There are two valves located at the lower end of the outdoor unit, one for supplying the compressed gas from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit and other one for receiving the return gas from the indoor unit. Initially, both the valves are closed. During gas charging both the valves are opened slowly. With this the refrigerant gets distributed in the whole air conditioning system including the indoor unit, the outdoor unit and the refrigerant tubing.
Checking for the Gas Leakages
The gas charged into the system is like the life blood for the whole unit. Even minute leakages of the gas can hamper the performance of the system and it continuous leakage can render the unit useless. Further, even the cost of the gas is very high, so its leakage will not only lead to the breakdown of the air conditioning system, but also high costs of repairing. Hence it is vital to check right at the installation of the system that there are no leakages of the gas.
The leakages have to be mostly checked at the joints of the refrigerant tubing. There are four joints in the split air conditioner: two at the indoor unit and two at the outdoor unit, connecting the refrigerant tubing and the indoor and the outdoor units. Since the gas is now present in the air conditioning system, it is at high pressure.
To check for the leakages soap solution is applied to the joints. If there are any leakages, you will see the gas leaking in the form of the bubbles and if there are no leakages the soap solution remains stable.
If there is some gas leakage the connections have to be tightened. If the leakage doesn’t stops, the leakage point may have to be dismantled and reinstalled.
How to check gas leakage
Don't believe on hearsay of technician. A trained technician would put his refrigerant gauges on to see what the refrigerant levels were.
The gauges are called manifold gauges. Most like he was measuring amperage in the cable with an ammeter.
You can check it yourself with a thermometer you should have a 20 degree difference from air entering your furnace and exiting your furnace. If it is so the gas is full.
